Requirements

• High School or equivalent
• Hospital switchboard experience preferred
• Enthusiastic, friendly, patient focused customer service skills
• Exemplary communication skills
• Must be able to work varied shifts

Responsibilities

• Delivering a dynamic customer experience to all customers
• Performing service and support orientated operations for the Medical Centers Switchboard Department
• Receiving and connecting all incoming calls, from outside the hospital and in-house
• Paging people over head and using beeper system, when necessary
• Performing as back-up for hospital information desk
• Maintaining daily patient census, listings of ‘on-call’ personnel and other pertinent listings
• Monitoring switchboard equipment and warning systems
• Paging ‘Code Blue’ and ‘Code Red’ according to departmental procedures
• Keeping work area neat and organized, including wiping down, filling stapler and tape dispensers
• Performing other duties as assigned
