Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or Systems Management
- 20 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, demonstrating a capacity to lead engineering efforts on assigned programs with minimal oversight
- Equivalent experience commensurate with DAWIA Level III SPRDE certification is preferred
- Recognized breadth of experience and knowledge within the Engineering community, able to serve as a consultant on Systems Engineering matters
- Ability to mentor the workforce and lead engineering efforts, serving as a consultant to team members on Systems Engineering matters
- Expertise in evaluating and improving system engineering principles, procedures, and processes to establish new engineering strategies
- Ability to identify issues, brief program managers on possible courses of action, and assess their impact
Responsibilities
- Manage systems engineering activities, including requirements analysis, functional analysis, systems analysis and control, and maintenance of systems architecture products
- Formulate design solutions, perform top-level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of systems
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, system interface requirements, and engineering changes
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all technical aspects of assigned programs, providing expert and authoritative advice on critical programs and technologies
- Evaluate system engineering principles, procedures, and processes used in past programs to establish innovative engineering strategies for current and future projects
- Participate in post-award meetings, program reviews, design reviews, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as the project engineer and/or technical expert
- Ensure integration of all engineering disciplines in design efforts and the adequacy of analyses performed, coordinating with other programs and organizations as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
