Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 0 to 3 years of related experience required
- Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential
Responsibilities
- Design various site development projects including commercial, institutional, and residential plans from concept through construction including the following: site planning, site grading, site balancing, storm water design, horizontal and vertical design of underground utilities, obtain jurisdictional approvals/permits, and prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
- Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Conduct on-site observations as needed
- Maintain multiple project assignments
- Verify field survey notes
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Assist Project Managers
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
