Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering or a related field
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and cost-saving measures
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency in software and production planning tools
- Experience with quality control systems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Strong project management abilities and experience leading cross-functional teams
- Proficient in data analysis and report preparation
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and environmental regulations in manufacturing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity
- Analyze production data and processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
- Design and oversee the implementation of quality control systems and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement solutions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Manage production projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to improve production capabilities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all production activities
- Mentor and train junior engineers and production staff on best practices and new technologies
- Prepare and present detailed reports on production performance, efficiency metrics, and improvement initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred
