Requirements
- 4+ years of live national or local major market experience
- Demonstrate ability to write creative/edgy stories and teasers
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and intense atmosphere
- Ability to multitask on tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to manage a team during breaking news with clear instructions and communication
- Ability to identify catchy stories that people discuss throughout the day
- Willingness to work overnight and weekends
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- INews experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of writers
- Oversee all content and elements for daily news stories
- Communicate critical story information with writers, producers, and managers
- Write attention-grabbing teasers
- Be a true leader among a team of talented writers
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- INews experience is a plus
