Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of clerical experience
Responsibilities
- Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments
- Obtain demographic details and insurance information
- Ensure proper scheduling
- Record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients
- Provide superior customer service to patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college
- Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirements
- Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4
- Experience working in a busy healthcare environment
- Experience in a Multispecialty practice preferred
- Bilingual- Spanish or Russian speaking a plus
