Requirements
- Hands-on experience with at least one major machine learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning (e.g., LoRA, QLoRA)
- Exposure to RAG systems and basic knowledge of hybrid search techniques
- Understanding model deployment and containerization (Docker)
- Proficiency in Python for AI development, data preprocessing, and scripting
- Understanding of version control systems (Git)
- Awareness of AI compliance, data privacy, and responsible AI principles
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., OpenShift, AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services
- Experience with MLOps practices and tools for automating and managing the AI/ML lifecycle
- Familiarity with database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or publications in relevant conferences or journals
- Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in a professional setting
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and deep learning techniques
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and experimentation with various AI/ML algorithms, frameworks, and technologies to identify the most suitable solutions for specific business needs.
- Design, develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models for tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and time series analysis.
- Design and develop agentic AI system.
- Contribute to prompt engineering and development of AI-powered workflows.
- Build and maintain robust and scalable AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure the availability and quality of data required for AI/ML projects.
- Work with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical AI/ML solutions.
- Deploy and monitor AI/ML models in production environments, ensuring their performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing AI/ML models and systems to optimize their accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML research, tools, and techniques and share relevant learnings with the team.
- Document AI/ML models, algorithms, and processes clearly and comprehensively.
- Communicate findings and insights from AI/ML projects to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to the development of the company’s AI strategy and roadmap.
- Mentor junior AI/ML team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with generative AI tools (LangChain, Hugging Face, LlamaIndex) is a plus.
