Requirements
- Grade 12 or GED
- Engineering Degree preferred
- 5+ years of Related Experience
- Must be willing and able to get a ticket to supervise underground as per mine regulations
- Must be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate integrity
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily Mine Hoist and Overland Conveyor activities and planning future activities.
- Direct and manage daily and long-term man-power planning, scheduling.
- Manage risk reduction projects.
- Ensure regulatory, corporate and site safety and environmental standards are being followed by conducting safety audits, risk assessments and housekeeping tours.
- Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements.
- Manage tonnage plans and forecasts
- Establish and maintain communication with all crews and departments.
- Control costs consistent to production demands.
- Assist in development of yearly budgets in regard to costs and tonnage.
- Develop and support continuous improvement ideas, six sigma projects, workout teams and other company initiatives.
- Conduct investigations and RCA when required.
- Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards.
- Manage performance issues when necessary.
- Develop and coach employees in order to retain and grow organizational talent.
- Support employees in their career development at Mosaic.
