Requirements
- The education requirement at this level consists of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Has the ability to become a certified Recovery Support Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Provide peer support services.
- Serve as advocates for consumers.
- Provide information and peer support for consumers in emergency, outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Assist consumers with recovery processes as they regain control of their lives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference may be given to applicants who are current or former consumers of mental health services.
