Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field followed by 1 year of post-baccalaureate experience as a Product Manager.
- 1 year of experience launching observability software products to market, including managing both internal and external beta user feedback and conducting market research.
- 1 year of experience conducting primary research on observability personas to capture user feedback and ascertain user needs.
- 1 year of experience prioritizing user needs into a feature roadmap and aligning the team around it as an observability product owner.
- 1 year of experience collaborating with engineering teams (including front-end, back-end, and infrastructure) in the observability space to break down roadmap features into consumable engineering tasks.
- 1 year of experience working with or building solutions based on big data NoSQL databases including S3.
- 1 year of experience writing Go and Python code to test and improve instrumentation workflows.
- 1 year of experience demoing product workflows to a variety of customer/prospect groups including enterprise software buyers and end user-engineers.
Responsibilities
- Perform primary research, interviewing end-users and buyers to ascertain product usage and user needs;
- Build a researched perspective on current customer and future prospects needs for the development of our logging product;
- Utilize deep understanding of the competition to set priorities and shape the logging product roadmap;
- Communicate priorities and roadmap for logging, and align the team around them;
- Convert logging product concepts into buildable projects;
- Act as a product owner for a Scrum team working on observability features;
- Manage the backlog, groom stories, and breakdown tasks to be completed for the design, development, and building of the logging product;
- Drive product requirements down to our front end, back end, and infrastructure teams for logging projects;
- Coordinate with product marketing on positioning and messaging of our logging product; and
- Drive clarity of our logging product to the internal development team, and current and new end-users.
