Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
  • a minimum of two (2) years as a collegiate strength and conditioning certified coach
  • experience under a certified strength coach
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

  • administer a comprehensive strength and conditioning program with the Women’s Basketball team
  • assist with other team(s) as specified by the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports
  • develop programs to increase athletic ability in order to prevent injuries and to improve performance for a variety of student athletes with various skill levels
  • administer, coordinate, develop, implement and teach year-round strength and conditioning programs to all student-athletes at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas
  • instill a winning attitude and work ethic
  • travel as requested by the sports coach
  • obtain proper guidance or approval from Athletics Compliance prior to participating in select activities, as defined by NCAA bylaws or institutional policies.
