Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
- Ability to commentate tactfully with the general public and specialty patients
- Knowledge of methods of security in buildings and grounds
- Ability to de-escalate situations once alerted
- Ability to engage in physical confrontations with suspected offenders
Responsibilities
- Routine patrols in and around divisional buildings
- Checks for unsafe conditions, fire checks, prowlers, vandalism, and other unusual occurrences
- Makes rounds of assigned area at least three times during shifts
- Makes written reports and logs of issues found and operational duties
- Promptly responds to emergencies
- Interacts with other care team members, patients, and visitors during normal activities
- Monitors alarm activations and video camera systems for potential security and safety issues
- Investigates incidents and sends complete reports and recommendations to supervision
