Requirements
- 7+ years of experience troubleshooting the ARCI system using the ARCI IETM
- 3+ years of experience operating or troubleshooting sonar legacy equipment, including AN/BSY variants, AN/BQQ-6, or AN/BQQ-5 variants
- Experience with NAVSEA submarine program offices
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience sharing, organizing, and storing information via SharePoint
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of submarine schoolhouse trainers and submarine on-board trainers
- Knowledge of the submarine ARCI development lifecycle
- Ability to provide proactive support to clients
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Provide support in all aspects of submarine combat control system modernizations, operations, and training development
- Develop and maintain the Advanced Rapid Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) Insertion (ARCI) Integrated Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)
- Support the client in the delivery of classroom training and instruction, including ship-based and possibly at sea
- Ensure all training material is updated, including instructor guides, trainee guides, lesson plans, and learning objectives
- Support the development of new classroom instructional curriculum, as well as IETM upgrades, for all submarine classes at all advanced processor builds (APB) and technical insertion (TI) levels
- Perform related work as required to assist management in accomplishing objectives
- Be involved in programmatic reviews or meetings to assess current initiatives and consequent impacts to training and IETM future state, and recommend new processes or methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Navy instructing
- Experience in a Modernization Training Team (MTT)
- Experience operating on multiple submarine classes
- Experience with the ARCI sonar system or BYG-1 fire control system
- Experience with at least 1 tour at a submarine training facility
- Experience in independent ARCI troubleshooting with little to no assistance from shore facilities
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master Training Specialist Certification
- Sonar Auxiliary Operator or equivalent Certification
