Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Three years professional social work experience, one of which must have included supervisory or administrative experience
- Licensed to practice in South Carolina
- LISW-CP licensure/status is required for outpatient clinical services
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients through court ordered forensic evaluations
- Provides individual and group therapy to adult and adolescent patients in an outpatient community psychiatry treatment clinic
- Provides mental health case management services and consults with multidisciplinary mental health team
- Implements and supervises case management, interagency coordination and treatment programs
- Performs individual and group psychotherapy utilizing advanced psychological tests
- Interviews client, family and any other providers to assess the patient’s level of functioning, strengths and deficits, and emotional status
- Serves as a member of the forensic assessment team in the diagnostic evaluation of clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital experience in the area of Psychiatry is preferred
- Experience in forensic case evaluations is optional
