Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; reviewing and responding to emails; arranging detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings.
  • Coordinates and ensures the schedule is managed effectively and all actions are followed through, including updates to the schedule as needed.
  • Assists in coordinating the agenda of Finance Leadership Team meetings, offsites, and all-staff meetings.
  • Arranges meetings with external stakeholders with a customer mindset.
  • Carries out the brand and culture of the Finance team by being a collaborative, knowledgeable and a responsive problem solver.
  • Communicates with thoughtful responses on behalf of the CFO on matters related to the CFO’s schedule or initiatives.
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CFO, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response from the CFO or others.
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the CFO and internal stakeholders; maintains credibility and trust with Labcorp employees.
  • Works closely, effectively and proactively with the CFO to keep her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities. Acts as a “barometer,” having a sense for the priorities needing the CFO’s attention.
  • Builds relationships crucial to the success of the Finance organization and is seen as a representative and voice and ambassador of the department.
  • Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting correspondence and other tasks that facilitate the CFO’s ability to effectively lead the team.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on tasks to successful completion in a timely manner.
  • Maintains discretion and confidentiality of all sensitive information.
  • Ensures that the CFO’s bio is kept updated and responds to requests for materials regarding the CFO and the organization in general.
  • Reviews and approves expenses, purchase orders and other contractual documents on behalf of the CFO. Uses good judgement and applies policy to flag issues with expenses or contracts.
  • Establishes processes and practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness for the Finance department.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other Executive Assistants to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of department operations and management of CFO and team related activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of Administrative Assistant experience; Experience supporting a senior executive preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred
