Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied physics, or related field. Must have been received within the last 5 years or upcoming year.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction in day-to-day research tasks
- Ability to model Argonne’s core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.
- Expert in the CVD growth of single crystal diamond and fabrication of devices.
- Experience in using various characterization tools including Raman, TEM, XPS, XRD
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Collaboration skills and the ability to work with a team in an interdisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop synthesizing single crystal diamond and finding novel ways in integrating diamond with other semiconductor materials.
- Fabrication of heterojunction devices as well as detail characterization of the interface using various spectroscopy and microscopy techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in working in the cleanroom with standard nanofabrication process flow
