Requirements

  • Minimum 3 or more years’ related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Proficient in use of personal computers as part of daily work, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, SAP and ACCS (Agile) system to retrieve and submit on-line documentation.
  • Ability to complete training courses (online and in-person).
  • Ability to use clocks, timers, tools, calculators, and rulers.
  • Ability to perform fine motor tasks such as sewing and cutting, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to accomplish goals and assignments on-time.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and document results for materials incoming, in-process, sub-assemblies, and finished models.
  • Assist production team on any questions pertaining to quality & escalate any potential issues to Quality Engineering.
  • Ability to assemble variety of tissue products according to manufacturing instructions (MPI) and prints.
  • Proficient in inspecting complex steps like suturing, surgical knot tying, bonding on tissue models.
  • Assist production on minor repairs on tissue models post inspection to meet the spec.
  • Be proficient at inspecting raw tissue/material for usability and escalate to engineering/production as needed.
  • Assist in training technicians by understanding the MPI, prints and requirements.
  • Assist in running the Material Review Board (MRB) process onsite with Quality Engineering.
  • Initiate/assist in drafting deviations, inspection plans, reports and recording measurement as needed.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on product flow prioritization.
  • Assist engineering on failure investigations, report findings/results and process improvements.
  • Ensure production to follow all corporate, regulatory, safety & production policies and procedures.
  • Understands 5S concepts and offers suggestions to the production team as needed.
  • Follow all corporate, safety, production procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record in compliance with established Quality and Manufacturing guidelines.
  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
