Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training or certifications in quality inspection or manufacturing is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role, preferably in heavy equipment or power generation.
  • Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, including experience with calibration, internal auditing, and document control.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical components, blueprints, and inspection processes.
  • Proficient with inspection tools and able to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience with quality documentation, such as inspection checklists and non-conformance reports.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality-related tasks.
  • Proficiency in using quality tools and software for data analysis.
  • Exceptional planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals and relay information in reports.
  • Must treat everyone equally with respect and dignity.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to work legally in the US.
  • Pass a drug screening.
  • Clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of generators and related subassemblies to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct Green Tag inspections following work instructions to verify that products meet established quality standards prior to release.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches) to ensure dimensional accuracy and proper assembly.
  • Perform thorough incoming inspections on materials, components, and parts to ensure conformity with specifications.
  • Carry out work-in-progress (WIP) inspections during assembly and fabrication processes to identify any deviations from quality standards.
  • Document inspection results and nonconformities using appropriate forms and software systems.
  • Ensure inspection activities are carried out in accordance with ISO 9001 procedures, work instructions, and company quality protocols.
  • Support internal audits and participate in continuous improvement efforts related to the ISO 9001 quality system.
  • Identify, communicate, and follow up on quality issues with production, engineering, and other relevant departments.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of inspection procedures and quality documentation.
  • Verify that work instructions, drawings, and specifications are the current approved revisions and notify the Quality team of any updates or concerns.
  • Ensure all inspected products are properly tagged, labeled, and staged according to status (pass, fail, hold, etc.).
  • Participate in internal audits and support external audits as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and uphold safety standards at all times.
  • Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
  • Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
  • Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
  • Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical training or certifications in quality inspection or manufacturing is preferred.
