Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Basic knowledge and work experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and HVAC in an industrial manufacturing facility environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and willingness to work on a team
  • Flexibility and a strong self-initiative are critical
  • Electrical Safety in the Workplace
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Must have basic knowledge in more than one mechanical/technical construction trade: Electrical, Plumbing and Pipefitting, Boiler Maker
  • Basic Knowledge in the use of hand-held measuring devices, take readings for dew point, temperature, relative humidity, air flow, ampacity, pressure, and particulates
  • Must possess basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine rounds on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting and repairs using standard equipment and hand tools with supervision
  • Performs well defined trouble shooting and repair on facilities equipment with supervision
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Being a First Responder, able to move rapidly through the factory to any of the manufacturing areas that may require an operations response
  • Assess a utility outage and take basic corrective measures needed to rectify the situation
  • Regularly interfaces with Engineering, Construction and other work groups including PECNA Tenants under supervision
  • Maintains appropriate work-related records such as equipment maintenance records, general work orders, maintenance request forms, and CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) checklists
  • Adheres to all safety and company policies, safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas
  • Utilizes CMMS for documenting labor hours and equipment maintenance reporting
  • Be able to read and identify equipment and fault areas on blueprints
  • Be able to draft, and follow Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOP) and Job Safety Analysis
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required repairs and service
  • Ensure a clean and secure work environment is maintained by strictly adhering to the 6S principles: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Support proper implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment within functional area
  • Ability to work all scheduled shift hours
  • Ability to train others at same or lower level within functional area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related Trade school/vocational graduate; 2 years of trade school
  • 4 + years and apprenticeship program
  • Industrial manufacturing facilities experience
  • HVAC Journeyman/Mechanic experience
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
  • Familiarity with building management systems (BMS)
  • PIT License
  • MEWP
  • State Issued Driver’s License
  • CPR Certification
  • NFPA70E
  • OSHA 10 or 30
  • HAZWOPER 8 or 40
