Requirements
- 3-5 years of successful B2B or Retail sales experience with an emphasis on acquiring new accounts and developing existing accounts within the cannabis industry.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel ~80% of the time within designated territory; must have reliable transportation.
- Working knowledge of state-specific Medical Marijuana program preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and other standard computer applications.
- Experience utilizing Sales tracking platform for customer data, sales information, market competition, and reporting.
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve time-sensitive results.
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
- Excellent prioritization, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with customers in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Present, promote, and sell TerrAscend’s products and services to existing and new customers.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships to ensure long‑term sales opportunities.
- Monitor competition by gathering information on pricing, products, market presence, etc.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the marijuana industry in general, noting key players, pivotal techniques, emerging trends, and the overall status of the industry within the designated territory.
- Partner with the Supply Chain team and TerrAscend grow and process teams to ensure efficient supply to meet demand.
- Weekly and monthly reporting on KPIs, benchmarks, and ongoing sales pipeline.
- Meet and exceed company weekly and monthly metrics and KPIs.
- Expand TerrAscend’s market share and reach within the designated territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of state-specific Medical Marijuana program preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
