Requirements
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in music marketing, ideally working at a record label or music distribution company.
- Deep and specific understanding of the music marketplace including but not limited to typical marketing strategies, creation of fandoms, packaging strategies, distribution deal mechanics and customary communication practices.
- Experience in forming strategic marketing partnerships with social platforms, influencers, visual creators, and DSPs.
- Specific emphasis in short form content across all platforms, its creation and how to build deeper connections with fans.
- Creative thinker with an eye for design, in addition to a strategic marketer who is driven by innovation and understands how to communicate effectively & measure results.
- Not afraid of a challenge or working with big personalities and large teams.
- Must be flexible and adaptable; no task is too small.
- Experience and desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Knowledge of standard office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook or the equivalent Mac office programs.
- Experience working in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Premiere or Final Cut) in addition to mobile editing software for videos, GIFs, and static visuals.
- Experience with digital marketing analytics tools and streaming / music consumption tools.
- Strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all project dates, deadlines, and tasks related to the assigned Pop/Rock artist roster.
- Build and execute marketing plans for individual artists. Should meet all deadlines and fully execute plan in all respective areas.
- Function as liaison with Creative Department to ensure all marketing deadlines are met, including initiation and creation of all release materials, and marketing assets as needed.
- Working closely with artists and their management teams to ensure their visions and goals are executed.
- Mentoring and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment amongst support/junior team members.
- Help facilitate and optimize the timely delivery of items to Commercial Partnership teams to meet sales, marketing and production deadlines.
- Coordinate album and single specific promotions with National Promotions team, ensuring all assets are delivered on-time and that promotions reflect album specific objectives.
- Ensure on-time delivery of all marketing assets for releases or campaigns by coordinating deadlines, digital content and other marketing materials for all projects.
- Create and keep current one-sheets and timelines.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
