Streets & Stormwater Technician I

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
One (1) year of experience in the operation of trucks, tractors, or other equipment related to stormwater and roadway construction for Trainee
Three (3) years of experience for Technician I
Five (5) years of experience for Technician II
Eight (8) years of experience for Technician Senior
Must possess a Florida CDL B permit with air brakes within six (6) months of hire for Trainee
Must possess a Florida Class B CDL License for Technician I and II
Must possess a Florida Class A CDL with Tanker and Haz-Mat Endorsement for Technician Senior
Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic Certification
NIMS Training
FDEP Sediment and Erosion Control Certification
FSA Stormwater Level I or FWPCOA Stormwater Class C and B Certification
Pinellas County – Landscaping Best Management Practices
National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP)

Perform stormwater and roadway inspections, maintenance, and construction activities within the City’s jurisdiction
Operate various trucks, tractors, and other equipment related to stormwater and roadway construction
Ensure all work complies with Federal, State, and local regulations
Maintain high standards of safety and quality in all tasks
