Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or GE Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) Graduate

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure materials, components, and services required for new product development.
  • Ensure alignment with engineering specifications, quality standards, and program timelines.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers capable of meeting NPI requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure collaboration and performance.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams to understand NPI requirements and timelines.
  • Provide procurement expertise to support design changes, prototype builds, and production ramp-up.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including lead time constraints, capacity issues, and quality concerns.
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply for NPI programs.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with GE Aerospace policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track and report key performance metrics related to supplier performance, cost savings, and delivery timelines.
  • Support lean initiatives and process improvements within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate on initiatives aligned with GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK lean operating model.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry
  • Experience in supplier development and managing global supply chains
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP)
  • Experience with NPI programs and working in cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Technical Background: Manufacturing, Quality or Operations background in Aerospace or Industrial setting
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative
  • Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
