Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must take and pass the Furnace Operator Test with a score of 75%
Responsibilities
- Operate atmosphere, vacuum and Hydrogen Fluoride Ion (HF) furnaces for coating, cleaning and heat treating of parts per written instructions.
- Mix coating powders as required per PMS specifications.
- Pack and unpack coated parts.
- Program controls and monitor operating parameters for furnace runs.
- Make routine entries on charts and routing travelers and log data into RFMS along with trace ability records.
- Perform preventative and minor maintenance as required.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area Comply with all documentation (including SOP’s, PMS’s, Routers).
- Setup and run furnace temperature uniformity surveys.
- Troubleshoot furnace related temperature issues.
- Assemble O.E.M. heat treat coating batches based on alloy.
- Must complete OJT operator training after starting
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified forklift driver
- Previous experience as a Furnace Operator
- Previous experience performing preventative maintenance
- Prior Aviation or Manufacturing experience
