Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with agreement of updating registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire
- At least two years of Pharmacy Technician experience in an inpatient hospital environment or equivalent environment
- Willingness to travel at least three days per week between various Cleveland Clinic locations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure legislative, regulatory, rule, accreditation and CC policy and procedural consistency with respect to medication use in the ambulatory patient care setting.
- Monitor and evaluate the completion of monthly inspections conducted by the site manager.
- Interact with state, federal and non-governmental regulatory agencies on various medication use issues.
- Develop and modify policies and procedures for approval by department leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program
