Requirements
- Minimum Highschool diploma or GED with combined 8+ years of experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant analytical experience required
- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd Shift
Responsibilities
- Follow standard procedures regarding sample preparation prior to instrumental analysis; this entails using rolling and cutting equipment, very accurate weighing of samples, hot plate acid digestion of samples, and accurate dilutions among other common laboratory procedures; attention to detail is a key requirement.
- Perform tests and data recording for provided samples using the following techniques (not necessarily a complete listing): ICP-OES, Metallography, GDMS, Tensile Testing, IGA (LECO), Tap Density. Hardness Testing, SEM/EDX (and Image Analysis)
- Handle and move bulk acids.
- Proficient in the use of advanced Excel functions, LIMS (including maintenance of functions related to daily operations), SAP and other standard office software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with a two- or four-year degree (preferably in a STEM field).
