Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a public company or public accounting role, showing a deep understanding of financial operations
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and/or CPA certification, with at least 2 years of similar experience mentioned above
- Ability to prioritize, coordinate and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Exceptional organizational, problem solving, anticipatory and follow up skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience with NetSuite with knowledge of basic accounting system functionality highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accounting books and records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies.
- Conduct complex account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger, including foreign subsidiaries, and elimination entries.
- Support reconciliation of research and development accruals.
- Prepare comprehensive account analyses and reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts on a timely basis each month to assure the integrity of the accounting records.
- Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements, focusing on aligning with public company standards and enhancing accounting controls and processes.
- Assist with annual audits by preparing audit schedules and financial statements, including financial statement notes and tie-outs, in close collaboration with external auditors.
- Support accounts payable operations and expense report processing, as needed.
- Assist in researching various technical accounting matters, providing accurate and comprehensive documentation of issues identified and resolution reached, as well as all related adjustments and supporting calculations.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments, as well as independently, while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects, as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NetSuite with knowledge of basic accounting system functionality highly desired.
