Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• The ability to travel 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes customer’s requirements to determine the optimal control system solution and determines applicable hardware and software control configuration/architecture
• Performs conceptual hardware & software systems design, determination of control system strategy to meet customers’ requirements while complying with industry codes/standards and assure that personnel/machinery safety practices are implemented
• Performs software development and design of custom application software
• Oversee integration of 3rd party hardware and control systems
• Write technical specifications and project reports as required
• Visit 3rd party suppliers and/or panel shops to assess progress, provide technical assistance and carry out inspections
• Lead the technical planning and direction of internal and customer system testing
• Takes ownership of issues, capable of engaging all levels of the organization to drive issues to resolution
• Provide on-site control system commissioning as required
• Function as the sole Lead Technical Engineer on small to mid-size projects and provide technical oversight to other Engineers on the project team
• Develops and recommends corrective actions
• Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.
• Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experienced with Rockwell Automation control controllers; ControlLogix/GuardLogix
• Ability to develop programs with RSLogix and View software
• Experience with Allen-Bradley drives: PowerFlex 525/527/755 and Kinetix 5500/5700/6500
• Knowledgeable with AutoCAD electrical and NFPA
