Requirements

Responsibilities
- Analyzes customer’s requirements to determine the optimal control system solution and determines applicable hardware and software control configuration/architecture
- Performs conceptual hardware & software systems design, determination of control system strategy to meet customers’ requirements while complying with industry codes/standards and assure that personnel/machinery safety practices are implemented
- Performs software development and design of custom application software
- Oversee integration of 3rd party hardware and control systems
- Write technical specifications and project reports as required
- Visit 3rd party suppliers and/or panel shops to assess progress, provide technical assistance and carry out inspections
- Lead the technical planning and direction of internal and customer system testing
- Takes ownership of issues, capable of engaging all levels of the organization to drive issues to resolution
- Provide on-site control system commissioning as required
- Function as the sole Lead Technical Engineer on small to mid-size projects and provide technical oversight to other Engineers on the project team
- Develops and recommends corrective actions
- Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.
- Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experienced with Rockwell Automation control controllers; ControlLogix/GuardLogix
- Ability to develop programs with RSLogix and View software
- Experience with Allen-Bradley drives: PowerFlex 525/527/755 and Kinetix 5500/5700/6500
- Knowledgeable with AutoCAD electrical and NFPA
