Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 year’s of Washington State regulatory compliance experience.
- Experience with SWPP, Chemical Storage, Haz waste, Air and Water.
- Permit maintenance experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform audits and inspections in program areas to include air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, and hazardous materials.
- Review regulatory wastewater discharge requirements for both federal and local environmental regulations.
- Conduct assessments of chemicals, processes, and equipment for environmental regulatory applicability.
- Prepare wastewater permit applications, regulatory reports, and supporting documentation, as directed.
- Draft environmental management plans, e.g., Solvent Management Plan (SMP), operating procedures, and training materials.
- Support environmental permitting and regulatory programmatic implementation for new processes and buildings from construction through operations.
- Perform technical review on behalf of the owner of contractor submittals and work plans for environmental aspects during construction.
- Participate in project meetings as needed.
- Prepare and submit required environmental metrics and reports.
- Audit environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance in accordance with client standards and federal, state, and local requirements.
- Compile, manage, and retain environmental documents in accordance with client EHS requirements.
- Partner with various departments, including lab researchers, facilities, security, and Global EHS to implement client environmental directives and standards.
- Maintain and monitor EHS software applications related to entering and managing current tasks, events, permits, reporting metrics and waste management activities.
- Support preparation and review of Hazardous Materials Business Plan (“HMBP”)/Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-know Act (“EPCRA”) inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Permit maintenance experience preferred.
