Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college degree program, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- A strong aptitude and eagerness to learn, follow guidance, and contribute diligently to team efforts.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software is expected.
- Familiarity and practical ability with common hand tools used in mechanical projects, such as those involved in basic vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Support mechanical engineering staff on diverse design challenges.
- Document mechanical systems through solid model designs, detailed drawings, and diagrams, and by creating bills of materials.
- Participate in design verification testing, present findings, and contribute to ongoing product improvement and cost reduction efforts.
- Provide a satisfactory level of technical support to staff engineers and assist with fabrication and installation activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ProEngineer/Creo is a plus.
- Experience with sheet metal and cable assembly design is a plus.
- Exposure to hydraulic systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy machinery is a plus.
- Experience with the coding, design, or installation of mechanical control systems is a plus.
- Experience with sensor data collection or coursework in measurements is a plus.
