Requirements
- Master’s Degree- Nurse Anesthesia
- SC RN- Advance Practice
- CRNA- Nurse Anesthetist
Responsibilities
- Formulates anesthetic plan with anesthesiologist and discusses plan with the patient
- Performs special line placement procedures including intravenous and arterial line insertion
- Documents appropriate data on pre-anesthesia assessment and intraoperative anesthesia care
- Maintains age specific competence in anesthesia technical skills
- Maintains and acquires new knowledge of anesthesia pharmacology
- Provides a safe practice environment by minimizing risk
