Requirements
- 5+ years of public affairs, non-profit or marketing experience (in-house or agency)
- Experience planning, creating and executing strategic digital campaigns
- External relationship building experience
- Strong public speaking skills
- Experience planning and executing in-person events, including onsite setup and breakdown
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with influential community organizations and (non-elected) stakeholders across various East Coast cities to establish trust and understanding of Waymo’s autonomous driving technology before and after service launch
- Represent Waymo at community events: this includes coordinating local sponsorships, managing event logistics, attending – and in some cases delivering remarks – on behalf of the company
- Work in close partnership with the communications, marketing, operations and public policy teams to ensure all work is grounded in research and supports business needs
- Lead photo and videoshoot productions and manage the development of social and digital marketing materials for Waymo Community channels
- Demonstrate ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and scalable action plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing agency support
- Bilingual speaker (Spanish or Mandarin Chinese)
