Community & Public Affairs Specialist

5+ years of public affairs, non-profit or marketing experience (in-house or agency)
Experience planning, creating and executing strategic digital campaigns
External relationship building experience
Strong public speaking skills
Experience planning and executing in-person events, including onsite setup and breakdown

Build and manage relationships with influential community organizations and (non-elected) stakeholders across various East Coast cities to establish trust and understanding of Waymo’s autonomous driving technology before and after service launch
Represent Waymo at community events: this includes coordinating local sponsorships, managing event logistics, attending – and in some cases delivering remarks – on behalf of the company
Work in close partnership with the communications, marketing, operations and public policy teams to ensure all work is grounded in research and supports business needs
Lead photo and videoshoot productions and manage the development of social and digital marketing materials for Waymo Community channels
Demonstrate ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and scalable action plans
