Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Basic knowledge of method development and analytical techniques for assigned technical areas.
- Understanding of sample handling and preparation, and general awareness of the drug development process.
- Working knowledge of regulatory agency standards within the area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines. Complete and prepare documentation in compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines.
- Contribute to the design and development execution of routine methods/assays under moderate supervision.
- Participate in technical discussions, experimental design, and data review; respond to sponsor inquiries as needed.
- Assist in troubleshooting and process improvements to enhance data quality, lower costs, or reduce turnaround times.
- Lead laboratory or cross-functional projects and support implementation efforts.
- Act as a technical resource for laboratory staff within your area of expertise.
- Identify abnormal progress of test procedures and escalate potential quality concerns immediately.
- Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis and ensure equipment calibration and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques and calculations.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures, including hazardous chemical handling.
- Strong technical expertise in analytical techniques and ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
