Requirements
- High School Diploma or its equivalent with five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- Ability to obtain a passport.
Responsibilities
- Act a primary point of contact for McNeilus dealers and customers for technical troubleshooting assistance on McNeilus EV models.
- Able to guide troubleshooting activities over the phone and via email and ability to travel to support troubleshooting high complex issues as needed.
- Maintain a professional relationship with customers and other departments necessary to support the customer.
- Provide guidance for internal Technical Support Specialist on a mentor level as needed.
- Communicate all service related McNeilus documentation such as service field bulletins, information notices, and product updates to McNeilus dealers, customers, and other team members.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge database that will assist customers as a self-help and self-diagnostic tool for future support.
- Support training development, training content audits.
- Generate and utilize data from systems to provide analysis and guide other Technical Support Specialist in repair efforts.
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD) teams as a service representative and in engineering change notice review.
- Collaborate in continuous training efforts, both internally and externally, to maintain and increase proficiency on various products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in the field or a related area.
- Seven (7) or more years of experience.
- Experience with contact center or hands on equipment repair work.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and the ability to read and understand schematics.
- Strong problem solving proficiencies.
- Advanced electrical and diagnostic experience or certifications.
- Experience troubleshooting CANBUS systems and high voltage electrical systems.
- Bilingual – Fluent in French or Spanish.
