Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance with at least 2 years of focused experience conducting investigations, preferably in BioPharma, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or other highly regulated industry or corporate environment.
  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or other specialized compliance certifications is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to compliance investigations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex investigations, including gathering and analyzing large amounts of information, conducting interviews, and synthesizing findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using investigation tools, software, and technology, such as EthicsPoint, ServiceNow, Tableau, and SmartSheet.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts thorough and impartial investigations into potential violations of laws, regulations, company policies, code of conduct, and ethical standards.
  • Provides subject-matter expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders on investigation-related matters, including training and awareness initiatives.
  • Leverages specialized knowledge and certifications to investigate complex compliance matters, such as anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and corruption, data privacy, conflicts of interest, improper inducements, and others.
  • Consistently seeks ways to leverage technology to make investigations more efficient and effective.
  • Leverages analytics platforms, case management systems, and digital forensics tools to uncover patterns, anomalies, and potential misconduct across complex data environments as part of their investigations.
  • Champions the integration of emerging technologies—such as AI-assisted review, automation, and secure collaboration platforms—to streamline investigative workflows and enhance evidence integrity.
  • Continually assesses and identifies opportunities to improve existing processes and approaches to maximize functional effectiveness.
  • Develops and executes investigation strategies, including gathering and analyzing relevant evidence, conducting interviews, documenting findings, and collaborating to develop appropriate corrective action plans.
  • Stays current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in compliance investigations and data analytics to provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Analyzes investigation findings and related metrics, extracts key insights, and effectively communicates them in an actionable and easily understandable manner to the business.
  • Identifies and executes opportunities to rely on technology to provide data insights from our investigations to align with our Enterprise Compliance Risk Management program.
  • Escalates high profile concerns efficiently, presents investigation findings, and advises on appropriate corrective actions to organizational leadership.
  • Maintains the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information obtained through reporting and investigations.
  • Works with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Human Resources, Global Security, Cybersecurity, Internal Audit, Quality, and Privacy to ensure key points of escalation and comprehensive investigation processes that support business values and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or other specialized compliance certifications is strongly preferred.
  • An advanced degree is preferred.
