Responsibilities

  • Understand the business applications and underlying technologies in use and maintain the inventory of technology assets in an architecture repository.
  • Provide hands-on support in maintaining the taxonomy of business capabilities and the linkage to our technology and application portfolios.
  • Serve as owner of the new technology insertion (NTI) request process supporting the introduction of new technologies while assuring the necessary due diligence has been performed.
  • Utilize a customer centric mindset to support the requestor and NTI stakeholders throughout the NTI process.
  • Provides oversight to ensure we are focused on using the tools and capabilities that exist in the organization today while being balanced and open to new solutions that could add value.
  • Partner PL Technology with Risk Management, Security, Procurement, and Architecture to review new technologies for compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the IT Asset Management and Architecture teams to establish whether existing technologies match capabilities requested by employees.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of the NTI process and tooling.
  • Participate in the process improvement initiative to optimize the NTI process.
  • Track, manage, and report on critical metrics as required by management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of information technology and common technologies used in the insurance and financial industries including AI, automation and back-office systems.
  • Procurement experience
  • Project management experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Previous experience managing a technology in-take process from beginning to end
  • Ability to bridge differences between multiple technologies and teams.
