Bachelor’s in Architecture in a program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)
Minimum of 4 years experience in Architecture
License in any U.S. state and NCARB certification; or ability to gain NCARB certification
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering in a program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)
NCARB Certification in any U.S. state is required for this position
Proficient in the use of MicroStation or AutoCAD

Possesses the knowledge to make some technical decisions, with supervision, based on calculated risks with little management review; provides support to supervisor or manager to assist in making decisions affecting long range plans and goals based on analysis of input and outcomes.
With supervision identifies, resolves, and initiates solutions to problems that are typical to the organizational unit and requires knowledge of facility design and/or problem-solving techniques.
Assists in the preparation and presentation of the most designs, clearly, concisely, and persuasively, bringing in ancillary issues before senior management, professional organizations, etc.
Possesses team building skills that extend through AEP, and other companies, professional organizations, regulatory agencies, and academia.
Develops, recommends, and implements plans to address project issues within field of design expertise.

Master’s degree in Architecture preferred
Depending upon assignment, position may entail some travel and exposure to situations which require the knowledge, understanding and adherence to applicable safety procedures.
May require extended hours to accomplish assigned tasks to meet requirements and schedules.
