Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical discipline required
- Minimum of 5 years traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design
Responsibilities
- Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements
- Provides support for other engineering activities as required
- May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance
- May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project
- Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project
- Perform complex traffic engineering projects, exercise sound engineering judgment, preparation of traffic signal plans, traffic impact analysis reports and PS and E documents
- Make decisions on design and engineering procedures as needed
- Function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects, but project management is not sole focus of this position
- Assist in managing a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Professional Engineering registration
