Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development.
- Strong knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and best practices. Experience managing VPATs, WCAG Testing, and A11Y guidance.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with a strong emphasis on accessibility.
- Extensive experience with ReactJS and its ecosystem (Redux, React Router, etc.).
- Solid understanding and experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop accessible front-end components and features for web applications using JavaScript and ReactJS.
- Write clean, maintainable code and follow industry best practices for software development with a focus on accessibility standards.
- Manage VPAT, lead WCAG testing, and provide guidance and guardrails to the team on A11Y best practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development and accessibility.
- Mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions to drive innovation and best practices.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive and accessible user interfaces.
