Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Microelectronics/Semiconductor Engineering, Physics, Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years EEE parts engineering experience in the aerospace industry with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • Understanding of component selection, screening, qualification, and derating for use in military and/or aerospace flight applications
  • Knowledge of component failure modes, component reliability, MIL specs and standards
  • Knowledge of space/Hi-rel industry test methods
  • Ability to perform independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Blue’s avionics projects with technology selection, application and validation guidelines for electronic parts and packaging hardware and processes
  • Retain and disseminate electronic parts and packaging assurance, reliability validations, tools, availability, and life cycle analysis/obsolescence information to Blue’s projects
  • Recommend infusion paths for advanced (emerging) electronic parts and packaging technologies by evaluating the readiness for manufacturability and project usage consideration
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain Blue’s EEE Parts Standards and Policies
  • Work directly with customers and their technical representatives to define testing and qualification requirements, and perform reliability/risk assessments
  • Participate in the Parts, Materials and Processes Control Board (PMPCB)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of semiconductor and passive electronic device manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of military, space and other Hi-rel suppliers.
