Requirements
- Mechanical and fabrication knowledge usually obtained through a 2 yr. post-secondary degree or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
- Three or more years of knowledge of maintenance procedures and tooling obtained through previous work experience in mechanic and light welding.
Responsibilities
- Performs repairs on all types of equipment and work tools.
- Operates equipment to diagnose problems and inspects equipment for defects.
- Assists supervisors, co-workers with a variety of mechanic, and related tasks as necessary.
- Writes thorough repair summaries and able to review summaries of more junior technicians.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction equipment maintenance including welding, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, A/C systems, emissions, diesel, gasoline, and record keeping systems.
- Ability to obtain Hazmat with tanker endorsement.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
