Responsibilities
- Support UMPG’s royalty process with royalty statement processing in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with company controls.
- As part of royalty assurance, load and maintain UMPG metadata and assist with revenue generating projects.
- Ensure accuracy in all processing and reporting by verifying song matches.
- Execute the timely due diligence and review of suspense data, seeking to maximize songwriter payout.
- Prepare and review royalty statement reconciliations as needed to ensure accurate reporting to songwriters.
- Provide reporting on information from UMPG systems for management or affiliates.
- Employ critical thinking in the review of data and analytics to ensure accurate royalty processing.
- Learn and develop ownership in assigned projects as part of the core area of concentration.
- Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required in response to changing business requirements.
- Overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of work experience or prior internship experience in music business administration is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Music Business, Business Administration, or Accounting is preferred.
