Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Logistics or similar area of expertise
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in Logistics management (distribution, transport, warehouse) add minimum 5 years in team management.
- Experience and knowledge in the Ice Cream/Frozen Food business an asset.
- Experience working in multifunctional groups and matrix environments
- Proven agility and soft skills in human relations
- Strong leadership with the ability to influence and manage change
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally or written in French and English
- Demonstrated proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies, with essential experience in project management
- Periodic travel will be required
Responsibilities
- Support the logistics needs of the Frozen category.
- Facilitate day-to-day logistics processes and issue resolution.
- Lead selected logistics-related initiatives.
- Oversee the operational strategies for distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation
- Leads all day-to-day Frozen Logistics processes including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and contingency planning for emergencies (environment, labour, etc.)
- Represent Logistics on all Frozen Prime & Category business processes and act as the single point of contact for Category support, including new product launches, new business development, cost-out initiatives and financial updates
- Liaise with the Canadian Logistic team for common services, such as transport
- Develop and promote strong working relationships with other Agropur departments and customers to ensure products and services are delivered within service level agreements
- Execute Risk Management policies (e.g. BCPs) to measure, anticipate and mitigate risks linked to Frozen Logistics including labour, environmental, supplier and customer risks
- Set and monitor Frozen Distribution & Logistic KPI’s and communicate them to related function
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and variance analysis
- Develop logistic talent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in the Ice Cream/Frozen Food business an asset.
