Senior Data Science Engineer

3+ years of experience in data science, including problem-solving with machine learning and scalable methods (MapReduce, streaming).
Experience in applied machine learning (regression, classification, supervised/unsupervised learning) and time-series data analysis.
Software development skills in Python and JavaScript, with experience using Git or other version control systems.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Collaborate with data and subject matter experts and customer teams to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use data and business insights.
Train, validate and deploy machine learning pipelines.
Test, troubleshoot, and enhance customer software applications with and on behalf of customers.
Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
Write application specifications, tutorials and documentation.

MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related STEM field with a strong mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics).
Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight while driving projects independently and collaborating effectively in a team.
Experience improving processes, systems, or products to enhance performance, along with mentoring and reviewing the work of junior engineers.
Problem-solving skills, considering multiple issues and specialties, with a motivated, positive work ethic contributing to organizational goals.
Verbal and written communication skills.
