Requirements

  • Provision of technical support for the service management function to resolve more complex issues for a specific client of group of clients.
  • Execution of preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software and utilisation of monitoring tools/metrics to identify, prevent and address potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintenance of a knowledge base containing detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference, self-service opportunities and knowledge sharing.
  • Analysis of system logs, error messages and user reports to identify the root causes of hardware, software and network issues, and providing a resolution to these issues by fixing or replacing faulty hardware components, reinstalling software, or applying configuration changes.
  • Automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, business continuity management, front office specific support and stakeholder management.
  • Identification and remediation or raising, through appropriate process, of potential service impacting risks and issues.
  • Proactively assess support activities implementing automations where appropriate to maintain stability and drive efficiency. Actively tune monitoring tools, thresholds, and alerting to ensure issues are known when they occur.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks, applications and information.
  • Ensure the stability, continuity and availability of Compliance Run the Bank applications, by providing rapid response to incidents and escalated user queries.
  • Responsible for the technical resolution of incidents, reacting as necessary to live software errors to limit downtime and resolve issues.
  • Accountable for ownership and execution of all application related activities in the day-to-day operations of the Bank’s production applications related to the individual product area.
  • Responsible for the ownership and prioritization of individual incidents and ensure the delivery of solutions are in-line with the Operational Level Agreements to deadlines and quality standards, providing regular updates to key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support the handover of new or enhanced software into business-as-usual (BAU) operation, absorbing and assimilating the information and providing junior resources information and education relating to the system technology and function.
  • Coordinate and execute business changes on the production environment, including the execution of testing during User Acceptance Testing and Operational Acceptance Testing; support Business Continuity Testing.
  • Deliver documentation to agreed standards; provide coverage, support, expertise, and specialized system knowledge to allow resolution of key incidents.
  • Perform Post Incident Review (“PIR”) attendance; and identify proactive remedial strategies to prevent future software problems and to improve the quality of delivered software.
