Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
  • Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to optimize the delivery of care of oncology patients
  • Ensuring relevant safety, regulatory, certification and/or accreditation standards are maintained
  • Utilizing specialized knowledge of anti-cancer therapy, administration, symptom management, and supportive care
  • Providing education to patients and their families
  • Supporting Community Oncology clinic and infusion operations at Nexton, and covering other oncology pharmacy clinical specialist areas as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • PGY2 Oncology residency training preferred
  • Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred
