Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • An Associates degree with an Instrumentation field of study from an accredited technical college of university, OR a recognized Instrument certified Apprenticeship program, OR minimum of two years Military training in a related field, OR two years of Instrument experience is required.
  • Previous experience and strong knowledge in the installation, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of instrumentation; including control valves, transmitters, and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all equipment is safely released, and all documents are in order prior to starting work.
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, within site Health/Safety/Environmental procedures and within applicable codes/standards.
  • Effectively communicate significant safety and equipment issues to immediate supervisor and all applicable levels of site management.
  • Fosters open communications and collaboration across all departments internal to the plant.
  • Maintain professional decorum, working to foster an inclusive environment for all.
  • Complete all required documentation (work orders, calibration sheets, etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Perform calibration and maintenance on all instrumentation and associated equipment including but not limited to; transmitters, control valves, solenoid valves, vibration equipment, temperature, PLC’s, control systems and others.
  • Participate in development of maintenance procedures.
  • Fosters a positive attitude, willingness to collaborate and team with others to accomplish work efficiently and to high quality standards.
  • Participate in evaluating and optimizing maintenance routines to maximize plant/equipment availability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Petrochemical facility experience is preferred.
  • Two years’ experience emphasizing instrumentation, electrical or process controls is preferred.
