Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Search Engine Optimization, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful SEO strategies that drive significant organic growth.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and leading SEO teams or direct reports.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) industry is required.
  • Highly data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Expertise in interpreting data, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Deep understanding of technical SEO factors, website architecture, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript impacts on SEO.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, Profound AI, Brandlight, Lumar, etc.).
  • Experience managing SEO for multiple websites simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex SEO concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define, own, and drive the comprehensive SEO strategy and roadmap encompassing technical SEO, content strategy, keyword strategy, link building, and on-page optimization for multiple company websites.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SEO specialists, including direct management of technical and content SEO resources. Foster a collaborative environment, set clear goals, and ensure high-quality execution.
  • Establish key SEO performance indicators (KPIs), create and maintain dashboards, analyze performance data, and deliver regular, insightful reports to stakeholders and executive leadership on traffic, rankings, conversions, and ROI.
  • Utilize web analytics, SEO tools, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, inform strategic decisions, test hypotheses, and measure the impact of SEO initiatives.
  • Be accountable for achieving ambitious organic traffic and conversion growth targets across all managed web properties.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Content, Product, Engineering, and Web Development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into web development, content creation, website design, and marketing campaigns.
  • Guide the technical SEO roadmap, ensuring websites are optimized for crawlability, indexability, schema markup, site speed, mobile-friendliness, and other technical ranking factors.
  • Collaborate with content creators and the Content SEO Specialist to ensure content is optimized for search engines, aligns with user intent, and supports keyword strategy.
  • Stay current with the latest SEO trends, shift to AI search, algorithm updates, industry best practices, and competitor strategies, particularly within the SaaS and e-commerce/shipping sectors.
  • Manage the SEO budget effectively, including tool subscriptions and potential agency/contractor relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in e-commerce SaaS or shipping/logistics software.
  • Experience with SEO in multiple languages and markets.
  • Experience with SEO for lead generation and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications.
