Requirements
- 8+ years of sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of ODMs, OEMs as well as external macroeconomic factors that may impact plans
- A solid understanding of the PC market spanning consumer and commercial, the various OEMs, the influence of Microsoft and Apple and how AI is introducing new opportunities and challenges
- Understanding of the various silicon suppliers along with strengths/weakness of each
- Strategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers
- Experience in region sell-through partnerships with PC OEMs
- Experience in sell-out and go-to-market with OEM regions and channel partners in EMEA, APJ, PRC and Americas regions
- Deep knowledge and experience in building financial models that create win-win situations for Qualcomm and our customers
- Ability to identify emerging opportunities and proactively engage in pre-sales activity
- Proficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks and desktops
- Experience in negotiating product pricing taking into account other factors such as total Bill of Materials (BOM), BOM tax with some products, etc.
- Ability to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externally
- Great communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to not just communicate facts but tell a story with the data that influences stakeholders to move in direction desired
- Creative problem solving with strong analytical skills
- Self-motivated, result-driven, and ability to create meaningful dashboards to keep leadership aware of all issues and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Own the product management executives and on down to the appropriate level to reach the product goals desired
- Manage the worldwide procurement team at the customer
- Ensure pricing, engineering investment, marketing budget and sales programs are in place and understood by all functional groups at the PC OEM
- Interact with internal and OEM sales leaders, PC category planners and operations teams across the Americas, Europe/Middle East, Asia Pacific, Japan and PRC to sell through the OEM’s Qualcomm Snapdragon PC platforms
- Work closely and bridge relationships between sales, marketing, and product teams at Qualcomm with the equivalent leaders at the PC OEM
- Be a voice for the PC OEM and influence product decisions inside of Qualcomm based on data-driven recommendations to help Qualcomm deliver the optimal products matched to the market needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business or technology preferred
- 15+ years in product marketing, sales, or product management in the PC industry
