Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce architecture leadership.
- Minimum 2-3 years working with Public Sector Solutions, or demonstrable public sector Salesforce implementation experience.
- Experience designing Salesforce solutions within government agency environments (federal, state, or local).
- Expertise in Salesforce Platform (Lightning Experience, Apex, LWC)
- Expertise in Salesforce PSS (Public Sector Case Management, Rules-Based Eligibility, Omni Studio)
- Expertise in Salesforce Industries or Omni Studio
- Expertise in Data Raptors, Integration Procedures, Flex Cards, Platform Events and Event-Driven Architecture
Responsibilities
- Define the Salesforce platform architecture roadmap aligned with public sector modernization goals (e.g., digital service delivery, case management, benefits administration).
- Drive the multi-cloud strategy using Salesforce products: PSS, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Health Cloud, and others as needed.
- Ensure alignment with architectural principles, IT strategy, and governance frameworks.
- Design and implement solutions using Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) for domains like: Case and Program Management, Permitting & Licensing, Benefits & Grants Administration, Citizen Engagement & Portals.
- Build compliant solutions within FedRAMP, or other relevant frameworks.
- Define and implement integration architecture across legacy systems (e.g., mainframes, ERP) using MuleSoft, API Gateway, and Salesforce External Services.
- Develop robust data models, migration strategies, and data governance plans, particularly involving sensitive PII/PHI data.
- Lead efforts around Master Data Management (MDM), data lakes, and Salesforce-native analytics (e.g., CRM Analytics).
- Architect secure solutions leveraging Salesforce Shield, Field Audit Trail, encryption, and event monitoring.
- Design single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) integrations using SAML, OAuth, or ADFS.
- Collaborate with security teams to conduct system risk assessments activities.
- Establish technical guardrails for Salesforce development lifecycle, including CI/CD (e.g., Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) DevOps pipelines, Code reviews and sandbox management.
- Define and enforce governance standards across architecture, data, performance, and documentation.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, present solution blueprints, and conduct architecture reviews.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with federal/state/local IT leadership, implementation partners, and Salesforce product teams.
- Provide guidance to developers, business analysts, and other architects across Agile delivery teams.

- Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer
- Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Accreditation – strongly preferred.
